Muscat, Oman | June 2026 : Masheed Engineering & Contracting (MEC) is pleased to announce significant construction progress on The Indigo Hotel & Wellness Center, a landmark four-star hospitality development within The Sustainable City – YITI, Muscat.
Occupying a 15,748 sqm site with a total built-up area of 23,266 sqm, the project is steadily taking shape as one of Oman’s most anticipated hospitality destinations, bringing together premium accommodation, wellness, leisure, and business facilities in a distinctive waterfront setting.
Structural Works Advancing on Multiple Fronts
Construction has now entered an advanced structural phase, with substantial progress achieved across the development. Large sections of the reinforced concrete superstructure have been completed, while work continues simultaneously across multiple zones to maintain construction momentum.
Current activities include:
• Completion of major reinforced concrete floor slabs across several building zones.
• Ongoing installation of columns, shear walls, and vertical structural elements.
• Continuous post-tensioning and reinforcement works supporting upper structural levels.
• Extensive formwork, scaffolding, and structural preparation enabling successive concrete pours.
• Coordinated execution of structural and enabling works to support the next stages of construction.
More than 175 engineers, supervisors, and skilled professionals are working on-site, driving the project forward while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and construction excellence.
