Significant Construction Milestones Achieved at SQU College of Law Project

Muscat, Oman – August 2026: Steady progress continues on the new College of Law development at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), representing a major addition to the Sultanate’s higher education infrastructure.

Commenced in June 2025, the OMR 5.75 million project is being developed on a 6,800 sqm plot with a total Built-Up Area (BUA) of approximately 13,697 sqm. Designed to align with Oman’s architectural identity while reflecting academic excellence, the new facility will provide modern spaces for legal education, research, and innovation.

Major Construction Milestones Achieved (As of August 2026)

Site operations have advanced through major structural phases in line with the project schedule toward its targeted June 2027 completion:

  • Superstructure Progression: Structural framing, columns, and floor slabs across upper levels are progressing rapidly across multiple active blocks.
  • Shuttering & Reinforcement: Ongoing installation of vertical column reinforcement, beam formwork, and extensive scaffolding frameworks supporting continuous concrete pours.
  • Waterproofing & Substructure: Waterproofing and protective works across lower levels and foundations remain fully completed to support upper structural execution.
  • Site Coordination: Tower crane operations, logistics, and material handling are actively managed to maintain continuous construction momentum across all active zones.
