Sultan Qaboos University – College of Law Construction Progress Update
Muscat, Oman | June 2026 : Masheed continues to demonstrate its commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across Oman, with steady progress achieved on the College of Law project at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) — one of the Sultanate’s key educational developments.
Commenced in June 2025, the project is being developed on a 6,800 sqm plot with a total built-up area of approximately 13,697 sqm. Designed to reflect the academic excellence of Sultan Qaboos University while embracing Oman’s architectural identity, the new College of Law will provide a modern and inspiring environment that supports education, research, innovation, and student development.
As of June 2026, the project has achieved a significant construction milestone, with the main structural works progressing in line with the approved schedule and the completion of the third-floor structure. Key activities completed include waterproofing works, as well as reinforcement and shuttering works for structural columns and slabs, reflecting effective project management and strong execution capabilities.
Despite the evolving challenges within the construction sector, Masheed continues to maintain project momentum through proactive planning, efficient resource management, and close coordination with the client and consultant teams. Supported by a dedicated workforce of 55 engineers and skilled personnel, Masheed remains focused on maintaining quality standards, operational efficiency, and timely delivery.
With a project value of OMR 5.75 million and a targeted completion date of June 2027, the College of Law project represents Masheed’s ability to successfully manage complex developments while meeting demanding timelines and delivering value for its partners.
