The American School – Sultan Haitham City. Project Progress Update – June 2026

Muscat, Oman | June 2026 : Masheed Engineering & Contracting (MEC) continues to make strong progress on the American School of Muscat, a landmark educational development that will provide a world-class learning environment aligned with Oman Vision 2040.

Located on a 33,928 sqm site with a total built-up area of 25,001 sqm, the project is progressing steadily toward its scheduled completion in October 2026, reflecting Masheed’s commitment to delivering high-quality educational infrastructure that meets international standards.

Major Construction Milestones Achieved
Construction has now entered an advanced stage, with the campus visibly taking shape as structural works near completion across the main academic buildings.

Current progress includes:
• Reinforced concrete superstructure substantially completed across the primary building blocks.
• Upper floor slabs and roof structural works progressing in accordance with the project schedule.
• Blockwork and internal partitioning advancing across multiple floors.
• Preparatory works for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations progress alongside structural activities.
• External infrastructure and site development continues in parallel to support the next phase of construction.
The coordinated execution of structural, architectural, and engineering works reflects Masheed’s integrated project delivery approach, ensuring quality, safety, and programme efficiency across every stage of construction.
